The Rishta

In Spring 2023, Sehar marked her professional theatre debut in The Rishta, written by acclaimed novelist, playwright and teacher, Uzma Jalaluddin (Ayesha at Last, Hana Khan Carries On, Much Ado About Nada). Presented by Silk Road Institute and directed by Masha Bashmakova at Montreal’s Centaur Theatre, the comedy centres around a Muslim family’s interplay and unraveling of secrets, tradition, community and interracial marriage, unfolding through sharp dialogue and physical comedy!
