Enhance your storytelling with Authenticity & Inclusivity
Sensitivity
Consulting
My role involves thoroughly examining your material to ensure that every aspect of your text and content aligns with respectful and accurate representations, creating a compelling and culturally-sensitive narrative that resonates with diverse audiences.
✴︎
As a seasoned writer, performer, and improv teacher who is also BIPOC, female and an immigrant, I offer a unique perspective as a Sensitivity Consultant/Reader.
✴︎
With over a decade as a creative professional coupled with valuable personal insights rooted in my identity, I bring an intimate understanding of cultural nuances to thoroughly examine your material, initiatives and spaces.
I have been a part of Diversity and Inclusion panels at Montreal’s Ladyfest (2017) and the Vancouver International Improv Festival (2017, 2018) discussing representation (or lack-thereof) and navigating comedy, creative expression, performance spaces and finding community as a marginalised artist.
I was also invited to serve on the Canadian Fringe Festival’s EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity) committee from 2020-2021. My contributions, informed by research, observations and my own experience in the festival, included improvements on language, initiatives, engagement and outreach, and accessible pricing models.
My writing expertise includes:
Scriptwriting for the stage and screen.
Professional content, copywriting, copy-editing and proofreading for brands and individuals in the marketing space.
Participation in a TV writers' room for Kim’s Convenience, a sitcom centred around a Korean-Canadian family navigating life in Toronto.
I’m collaborative, resourceful, and offer quick turnaround expertise, remotely and in-person.
